A 65-year-old man was killed allegedly by his son under the influence of liquor in Kaboolpur locality under Kotwali city police station area last night.
Superintendent of Police (SP) (city) Piyush Srivastava said that Pitambar, a farmer by profession, objected to his son Prakash's drinking habits when he returned late in the night in an inebriated condition.
But Prakash started beating his father and in a fit of rage hit him with a flower pot on the head resulting in fatal injuries, the SP said, adding, he was rushed to hospital where he later died.
