Man kills daughter with an iron rod over financial dispute, arrested

A man was arrested here for killing his daughter after attacking her with an iron rod, police said.

The incident occurred in Sangam Vihar on Tuesday over a financial dispute between the accused, Nand Kishore, his wife and their two daughters.

"During investigation it was found that Nand Kishore attacked his wife and daughters with the iron rod. His younger daughter died on the spot, while his wife and elder daughter suffered critical head injuries. They have been admitted to the AIIMS trauma centre," Delhi Police PRO (ACP) Anil Mittal said. Neighbours called the police after they heard the commotion in Nand Kishore's house.

In another incident involving a heinous crime, three days before Raksha Bandhan, a boy brutally raped and murdered a Std VIII student, who used to tie him a rakhi. The Bhiwandi police arrested the 20-year-old culprit who also ended up calling her father after killing the victim, to say that his daughter was not feeling well and was behaving weirdly. He apparently then fled the spot. This is the second brutal rape and murder registered in Bhiwandi in the past three months.

The girls' parents told police that she used to tie a rakhi to Budhawale but he used to remove it. This time too she had brought a rakhi for him, which was found near the tub.
