An Indian woman and a Nigerian man were arrested by the anti-narcotics sleuths for allegedly indulging in an illegal drugs deal in the national capital, officials said today.
Goa resident Sonia Gaonkar (24) and Nigerian Charles Ezih (49) were nabbed by a Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) team yesterday as part of its action against drug cartels operating in Delhi, they added.
Gaonkar was apprehended from the Hazrat Nizamuddin railway station as she was about to board the Mumbai-bound August Kranti Express train and 600-grams of methamphetamine (a party drug) were seized from her possession. The woman told the NCB officials that the drugs were handed over to her by another Nigerian man at Ezih's residence.

Ezih was arrested subsequently and a search of his home led to the recovery of 180 grams of cocaine. The two were arrested under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and the NCB was now looking for the other Nigerian the woman had talked about, the officials said.
