A doctor working with the Guru Tegh Bahadur Hospital here was on Wednesday found dead in his flat, police said. Originally from Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu, Sharat Prabhu, 28, was found unconscious in the bathroom by his roommate. Doctors at a nearby hospital declared him dead.
The roommate told the police that Prabhu had spoken to his father on Tuesday night "and was fine and normal", a police officer said. "When his roommate woke up, he found Prabhu unconscious. He informed the police and family members," he said.
The officer said: "Prima facie it appears he was injected with insulin. We are trying to find out if he injected it himself or someone else did it."
