Police learnt about the crime after Kuldeep Thakur's body was found dumped in a field in Mundka last morning. The minors were intercepted within hours. Thakur (51) was a resident of Khanpur in south Delhi.
"They had hired the cab for Mundka, from Najafgarh in west Delhi around 3.30 pm on Wednesday. On their way, a heated argument ensued between them and Kuldeep over some issue. After this, they shot him in the
head," DCP Pushpendra Kumar said.
"The minors then dumped the body in a secluded field nearby and left the car at some other place before fleeing," he added. The minors told the police they shot at Thakur when he abused them during the argument, Kumar said, adding what exactly caused the argument was yet to be ascertained. He said the police did not find any previous criminal record of the minors. "We are trying to find out how and from where the minors got the firearm used in the crime."
