A newly-wed couple and their wedding party received a rude shock when all the jewellery gifted to the bride and the car in which it was kept, went missing on the wedding day.
The incident took place in Shamli district's Kandhla area, late on Sunday night, when the groom's father Kurban Ahmed was preparing for 'nikah' of his son.
The family alleged that on the fateful night Ahmed's nephew Azad came in to inform that the car, along with gold jewellery worth lakhs of rupees, was missing.
The car was parked outside to take the couple from the venue.
