The easy way out

Straight hair
After you have washed your hair, apply leave-in hair oils or serums. Avoid applying them closer to the roots as that can make the hair look flat. Hair can become frizzy due to excess humidity and so adding a leave-in helps with combating it.
Rice water is a great way to manage frizz. You can apply it on your hair for 15 to 20 minutes just before shampooing.
Use products as per the density of your hair. Limp hair needs light weight products whereas thick hair will need slightly heavier products to tame the frizz.

Curly hair
I recommend special products for curly hair like curl creams or slightly heavier leave-in conditioners. Curly hair tends to be naturally frizzy as compared to straight hair. So it might need extra
attention during monsoons because of the humidity.
A hair pack of coconut milk or flax seed would be great before a hair wash. Apply coconut milk on your hair for 10 to 15 minutes before shampooing. You can also apply flax seeds that have been soaked overnight, which give a gel-like consistency. Apply two tablespoons, depending on the length of your hair.
Using silk bonnet or silk pillowcase works wonders for wavy hair, especially if you have long hair.

Wavy hair
Avoid a lot of hair styling in this season and keep it simple. Covering your hair while travelling helps a lot.
For this hair type, depending on the thickness, you can either use leave-in conditioners or balms. This helps to keep frizz at bay for a longer time.
Try applying curd on your hair. This moisturises and prevents frizziness in the hair. Leave the curd for 15 to 20
minutes before washing it off.
No matter the hair type, deep conditioning once a
week or a hair spa is highly recommended.

Home remedies galore

Straight hair
Style your hair in braids or twists for easy everyday office/college looks. It will prevent the broken hair from sticking out if it's tied in twists. There are various interesting ways to style the hair differently for all hair lengths. You can also wrap it in a bun or let it loose only in a non-humid environment (for days when you must leave it open). Deep conditioning of your hair in the monsoon is a must.
Use a good dry shampoo instead of washing it too often, but use serum after the wash.
Try hot oil treatments with coconut oil or argan oil.

Avocado paste with coconut oil helps reduce frizz

Curly hair
Use hair masks/treatments that will hydrate the hair. Avoid shampooing too many times during the week and avoid shampoos that have sulphates. Use Curl cream for curly hair.
For better management of frizz, try cider vinegar mixed with warm water. Applying it to the hair helps cuticles of the hair to stay flat and avoid frizz. As curly hair can be prone to breakage resulting in more frizz, use a bandana to avoid friction and breakage.

Wavy hair
Avoid heat styling as this tends to make your hair dry, adding to the frizz.
Use humidity protection spray. These are easily available in the market. Try hair masks/treatments that will hydrate the hair. There are a few hair masks that you can make at home in order to keep your hair hydrated. Crush the flesh of avocado and make a paste, which you can directly apply on the hair; or mix the tape with coconut oil and apply. Leave it for 15 to 20 minutes and then wash your hair. If the smell doesn't bother you, apply egg whites in your hair and leave it for 15 to 20 minutes and before shampooing.
