Animal lovers and pet owners will know that caring for a furry friend can be a rewarding experience. And writing about it can be as gratifying. Gouri Dange, columnist, novelist, editor and counsellor, is more than equipped to guide aspiring and seasoned writers to document their stories about their avian or four-legged pals in her upcoming workshop.
The two-day workshop this weekend called Paws & Pens: Writing Workshop for Animal Lovers, offers instruction in every format of writing - poems, haikus, short-stories, editorials and essays among others.
Dange says the class covers other tones and aspects of writing such as commemorative, informative, activism and marketing. She concludes, "Under one umbrella, writers will learn how to put their thoughts together, how to use language to their advantage, and get exposed to other genres."
