A sweet deal
You don't need the excuse of a sale to buy cake, but it's tempting. We succumbed to the pull of a long weekend 20 per cent sale and bought a bunch of goodies from Philoméne, a Mulund-based delivery-only artisanal French pâtisserie. The lemon madeleines (Rs 354) were light and buttery, the petit mon chéri entremet (Rs 590) came with an almond cherry sponge, plum crémeux, cherry mousse and our favourite part, the almond crisp at the bottom. Finally, the Paris Brest (above) is a praline cream-filled choux pastry (Rs 295) and possibly one of the best-made choux pastries in the city.
