Eshna Kutty
Eshna Kutty, the 25-year-old flow artiste from Bengaluru, has been pursuing hoop dancing for over five years. In the lockdown, she started Hoop Flo where she taught this form along with other flow arts, and soon, a community of hoopers emerged. "It was easier to grab eyeballs online because we could target the entire country," she shares. With the lifting of pandemic restrictions, Kutty and her team are on an India tour, and this weekend, Mumbaikars can sign up.
"It is amazing to see seniors, or mothers, who are otherwise hesitant to join the gym, wanting to be a part of this," she says. Hers is a beginner's workshop, and will include waist hooping, dancing and tricks with the hoop. "Don't make your body grow according to the hoop size but pick the right size of a hoop according to your body type," is her advice to beginners.
