This time of the year is ideal to visit this UNESCO World Natural Heritage site. You can also check out the scenic Thoseghar waterfall situated beside the lush rice fields. This day and night trek includes sessions in macro and landscape photography, as well as sightseeing of the Chalkewadi plateau windmills at Thoseghar.

This flower heaven is located over a volcanic plateau, and limits visitor numbers to 3,000 per day. It is an eco-sensitive location that is open only from 8 am to 6 pm. The Kaas Talaav or lake located nearby is unpolluted and makes for a great picnic spot after the hike. This one-day trek highlights the most scenic aspects of the beautiful plateau along with butterfly photography and local home-cooked food.

The plateau is home to more than 850 species of flowers. In late September and early October, the entire terrain turns into a canvas splashed with different colours.
