(Clockwise from top) Kanan Gill, Kenny Sebastian, Biswa Kalyan Rath, Zakir Khan, Neeti Palta and Sumukhi Suresh in Comicstaan
Do you miss seeing young comics making up nonsense on the spot because Biswa Kalyan Rath wants them to? Do you remember then-contestant Shreeja Chaturvedi's impassive look at every punchline? Or, do you keep going back to Aakash Gupta's inimitable call-backs? Comicstaan, the popular comedy show for OTT audiences, has introduced us to names such as Rahul Dua, Shashwat Maheshwari, Samay Raina, and Supriya Joshi, among others. And, the popular session returns with its third edition. As the makers of the show promise, this time, the stand-up comedy hunt is going bigger and better. But will it be hard to find a clear "funny" winner? You might be able to tell before the show drops on an OTT platform.'
The grand finale of Comicstaan Season 3 will take place at a SoBo venue, and stand-up comic enthusiasts will be able to witness the laugh riot in person. Since the event will be recorded live, audiences have been asked to follow a strict set of guidelines. Apart from mandatory safety protocols with regard to COVID-19, viewers have to reach on time and hand over their phones for safekeeping, as the studio rounds will be taped. At the end of the taping, they should sign an audience release form, which would mean that they have permitted producers to release footage of them. Everybody present at the shoot should also know that it is a single-entry event.
On March 2, 3 pm onwards
At The Royal Opera House, Girgaum.
