"Several lots from the sale are sourced from movie merchandise - celebrity-signed products that are utilised for marketing films. These were sourced from California, and it's the production houses of the film or the artistes themselves who donate these. There is so much to look for in India too, however, it's not done as frequently here. Many pieces are part of the collector's life and journey. Fans across the globe associate the memory of the movie or the artiste with the era it belonged too. That's why it holds sentimental reasons too," says Tushar Sethi, CEO of the Kala Ghoda auction house.
