As Mumbaikars start treading their paths for 2018, Mumbai holds in store, a milestone that will take the citizens over the moon. This January, a colossal event is making its way to this city. 'The Mumbai fest' 2018 will be a first of its kind festival that will celebrate the 'One Love' spirit of Aamchi Mumbai!
The one thing that will characterize this colossal fest is the magnum opus set of seven islands. On January 26, 27 and 28, the history of Mumbai will be re-told through a never-before-seen set of seven islands of Art, Music and Dance, Central, Food, Bollywood, Heritage and Mumbaikars Island, spread across 2 lakh sq.ft on MMRDA grounds, BKC. This set will be designed by none other than the renowned art director NITIN KULKARNI who has worked on sets of several Bollywood Blockbusters!
Event highlights
An Extravagant Cultural Parade
The Cultural Parade that will mark the beginning of the fest on the 26th January will commence with the symbolic outcry of the traditional Tutaris. The Parade promises to envelope Mumbai in its energy as the uproar of Dhol Tasha along with Drum Café come together with a vibrant display of Lezim, Garba, Gondhal, Bhangra, Giddaand many more cultural riches, with about 300 artists parading the venue!
A Guiness World Record By Drum Cafe
We have with us the world's number one interactive drumming company - DRUM CAFÃ. Along with our true blue Mumbaikars Drum Café will attempt to create a Guinness world record by playing 2100 drums together at once! The Orchestration of the drumming is sure to pump up the energies in Mumbai!

International short film festival
The Bollywood Island at The Mumbai Fest will have an exclusive International short film festival where Mumbaikars get an opportunity to take their short films to an imminent jury panel. The finest of these short films will be screened through the three days of the fest.
