Time to turn a new page?
Taylor Swift may sing to insist that the old Taylor Swift is dead, but she clearly isn't. Her new album, Reputation, is full of songs about "look what the world made me do". And though we are totally onboard with revenge art, maybe it's a tad overdone now. But, even if the lyrics are getting on our nerves, you have to admit Swift is a pop genius. Songs you must hear are Getaway Car and This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things.
A chance to bond with Alter
When Tom Alter plays the role of Ruskin Bond, you can expect nothing less than a potent spell to be cast upon you. The Black Cat, a fantasy short film directed by Bhargav Saikia, is the late actor Alter's last presence onscreen. The film is hilarious, thanks to his expressions and Shernaz Patel's Mrs Bellows. The sparse plot has more than a generous dose of the eerie, and you may be able to forgive its rather abrupt ending.
Getting giffy with it
For those of you who follow Alexey Kondakov's remixes of classical masterpieces on Instagram, you will want to check out Baptiste Picq, too. The Paris-based motion designer makes the coolest animations and GIFs of some of the best-known art in history, right from Titian to Tintin. Our favourite is the one of Degas' pirouetting ballerinas. Check out @baptistepicq for some worthwhile scrolling time during your commute to work.
