The Tanjore Tiffin Room is among the few restaurants in the city serving authentic Tamil food. The menu comprises of several home-style dishes from the kitchens of Chennai that will appease seafood lovers. A humble establishment that resembles a canteen, Hotel Deluxe is arguably the best place to relish some traditional food from Kerala. You can expect nothing but the most flavourful vegetarian curries, chicken stews, and seafood dishes. Vanakkam Cafe serves an extensive menu with a wide variety of idlis, dosas, vadas, uthappams, and more. The Open Pizza Dosa (Rs 300), Cheese Burst Waffle (Rs 300), Lava Idli (Rs 160), Khowsuey Idli (Rs 220), and Medu Wada Sandwich (Rs 180) are some of the exciting dishes served here. You can also try their South Indian Thali (INR 250), which is served on a banana leaf for a traditional experience.

A humble eatery that serves traditional South Indian fare, Udipi Krishna is known for its flavourful dosa and fluffy idlis.
