Mexican Fiesta: Feast and celebrate 'Day of the Dead' at this Mumbai restaur

'Day of the Dead' at Xico will feature a foot tapping dinner party drenched in tequila and mescal


What do sugar skulls, marigolds and monarch butterflies have in common apart from being delights to watch? Yes, there is another common thread that ties them all together.



Just like pumpkins, witches and black cats are quintessential symbols of Halloween, these objects are associated with Día de los Muertos, or ‘Day of the Dead' which is widely celebrated in Mexico. Bringing this tradition for the first time in India, the festivity has commemorated at Xico, Lower Parel from today onwards.

Xico along with its classic a la carte menu, is also running specials for the ‘Day of the Dead' celebration, exclusively created just for these 3 days which includes signature hand-picked dishes like Silik Pak, Tortilla Soup, Tortilla soup de pollo, Queso Fundido, Duck Taco, Pollo Al Pastor Quesadilla, Chile Relleno, Chile Relleno and Milanesa de Pollo. Get ready to get on a diverse culinary journey through the regions of Mexico from Oaxaca and Puebla to Veracruz, Yucatan and more through its Mexican delicacy.

'Day of the Dead' at Xico will feature a foot tapping dinner party drenched in tequila and mescal. It also features classic and contemporary crafted cocktails, great margaritas with hand-muddled fresh fruits, herbs and freshly squeezed juices and ice cold cervesa! It does not end here! In case you do not come in your ‘Day of the Dead' make-up, then there is a Face-Painting competition for you. Bringing this unique concept to India for the first time, Xico is all set to ensure that it'll be a high-spirited event full of fun, surprises and excitement.
