Bawa Kejriwal bagel
What is common to baos, burgers and bagels? Well, apart from being dishes where fillings are ensconced in bread, they all start with the letter âb'. That's what the folks at Gourmet on the Go, a new delivery joint in the city, have picked up on for a venture titled 3Bs, which only serves these three dishes in vegetarian options. We tried the shroom burger, bao bhaji, and Bawa Kejriwal bagel to check what they taste like.
The shroom burger (Rs 325) had an earthy feel where the freshness of the mushrooms in it came through. As for the bao bhaji (Rs 250), while we were expecting a take on pao bhaji considering the name, it was nothing like it. Instead, a masaledar filling of potato slices was sandwiched in a bao, thus marrying the cuisines of India and Vietnam. It packed a fair enough punch and we moved on to the Bawa Kejriwal bagel (Rs 325), which was so big that you could almost compare it to the size of a Frisbee. The taste was fresh and the portion was filling, which was no surprise given its size. So, all in all, the prospects of this venture look bright, to use another word that starts with âb'.
