World Martini Day is celebrated across the globe today. Raising a toast to the day, we present a few interesting concoctions from Mumbai bars that you can try at home

Martini


Star Anise Martini



Ingredients
>> 5-6 pieces whole star anise
>> 10ml sugar syrup
>> 10ml lime juice
>> 20ml water
>> 60ml gin
>> 4-5 pieces of ice cubes
Ingredients for foam
>> 10gms Molecular Lecithin Powder
>> 3-4 pieces whole star anise
>> 20ml hot water

Method
>> Blend all the ingredients for creating the star anise foam together. Once the foam is created, keep it aside and bring together the ingredients for the beverage.
>> Muddle whole star anise, sugar syrup and lime juice together.
>> Add 4-5 cubes of ice, with water and gin.
>> Shake it well and strain in a martini glass.
>> Once settled in the glass, scrape the star anise foam created in step 1 and layer it on top of the liquid so as to cover
it fully.
>> Garnish with one whole star anise and serve.

Pink Lady Martini


Pink Lady

Ingredients
>> 45ml gin
>> 10ml grenadine
>> 10ml egg white
>> 25ml lime juice
>> Orange zest
>> Dried rose petals spray

Method
>> Add all ingredients into a shaker & shake vigorously.
>> Strain into a coupette glass filled with cubed ice and top with crushed ice.
>> Garnish with rose petals spray and rose petals.

Japanese Pear n Ginger Martini



Ingredients
>> 60ml vodka
>> 30ml sugar
>> 15ml lime
>> 30ml ginger water
>> Few slices of Japanese ginger, and pear

Method
>> Pour all ingredients in a shaker.
>> Shake vigorously.
>> Pour in a martini glass
>> Garnish with Japanese ginger and slices of pear.

Creme Brulee Martini



Ingredients
>> 60ml vanilla vodka
>> 90ml whipped cream
>> A pinch of burnt sugar for garnish

Method
>> Pour all ingredients in a shaker with ice.
>> Shake vigorously.
>> Pour in a martini glass.
>> Sprinkle burnt sugar on the top.

Ingredients
>> 45ml vodka
>> 1 bar of Dairy Milk at room temperature
>> 15ml creme de cacao
>> 15ml heavy cream

Method
>> Combine all ingredients together in a blender half-filled with ice cubes.
>> Blend until a layer of froth forms, pour into a martini glass and serve immediately.
>> Dust with Dutch cocoa.
