If you are in the mood for a post-dinner binge, stop by at a new waffle destination at Girgaon Chowpatty
Chocolate Waff-Wich
The Belgian Waffle Co.
Food Good
Service Slow
Ambiance NA
Despite being a hole-in-the-wall, it's easy to spot The Belgian Waffle Co. because of the wafting smell of fresh waffles. The limited menu that doesn't offer any savoury options, has some interesting options to satisfy a sugar craving. The not-so-regular, Banoffe Waffle and a PBJ Waffle, accompany usual suspects like the Naked Nutella Waffle and the plain waffle with warm honey. The waffles are freshly baked and the makers claim are eggless.
Chocolate Waff-Wich
To start with, we picked the Strawberry Cream Cheese (Rs 110). Though the sight of the warm waffle oozing with strawberry compote made us go weak in the knees, it didn't really turn out to be our favourite because they used preserve as opposed to fresh seasonal fruit. The cream cheese helped balance the sweetness from the compote and the powdered sugar sprinkled on the waffle. Next, we indulged in the sinful Chocolate Frozen Waffwich (Rs 130). Cold chocolate ice cream sandwiched between fresh, warm, fluffy and crisp waffles with hot chocolate syrup drizzled on top, - each bite delightful. Don't miss out on this one. However, both waffles can get messy because of the gooey fillings.

You can pick from a number of hot and cold beverages including tea, coffee and shakes. Not too many people get the ice tea right but we loved the Mango Ice Tea (Rs 90), which was thankfully, not too sweet and helped us clear the palate as well.
Mango Ice Tea and Salted Caramel Shake
We also enjoyed the thick, creamy Salted Caramel Cold Shake (Rs 140) Though slightly pricey, The Belgian Waffle Co. does manage to make you want to come back next time you need a sugar rush.
