A residential workshop in pretty Panchgani sees food consultant Saee Koranne-Khandekar teaching you to make delicious strawberry jam and tea cakes, as well as breads and butters
How about digging into a bottle of sticky strawberry jam while sitting on the porch and soaking in the view of misty hills in the distance? Or cutting yourself a slice of cake that you baked using fresh strawberries picked from the farm the same morning? You can do all this and more at a residential workshop in Panchgani next month.
The workshop will be hosted by Saee Koranne-Khandekar, food consultant and author of Crumbs! Bread Stories and Recipes for the Indian Kitchen. At the workshop, which will be held at SaffronStays Verandah by the Valley in Panchgani, you will go strawberry-picking at a local farm in the neighbourhood, following which you will learn to use them to make jam and a tea cake.
In addition to this, you will be taught to make almond nut butter, orange butter, and artisanal bread. You also get to indulge in home-cooked meals, and enjoy a stargazing session from the villa's private rooftop.
