There's much to love about a kebab - the sizzle of fat hitting the fire; the smoke that rises and coats the freshly marinated meat on the griddle; the soft, grilled meat with the slightly charred flavour that melts in your mouth. This week, attend a food walk that will introduce you to some of the city's best kebab haunts, on and off the street
There's much to love about a kebab - the sizzle of fat hitting the fire; the smoke that rises and coats the freshly marinated meat on the griddle; the soft, grilled meat with the slightly charred flavour that melts in your mouth. This week, attend a food walk that will introduce you to some of the city's best kebab haunts, on and off the street.
Organised by Seek Sherpa, the evening walk will take you through the back lanes of Dongri and Agripada. On the menu are kebabs and more kebabs, from Galouti to Kakori to the vegetarian Dahi Ke Kebabs. All the stops are within walking distance of each other, and offer a lip-smacking spread. There will be interesting picks for both non-vegetarians as well as vegetarians.
The price is inclusive of the guide's fee, transport, water and the first set of Galouti or Seekh Kebabs. If you're up to it, your guide might be able to accompany you to a few local bars to help wash down your meal.
