At the entrance, we noticed their logo that incorporates food and books with a pen and fork on either side. The space comprises a wishing well, vintage furniture, printed floors, antique lamps and a dedicated book wall.
Classic Lemon Ice Tea
We loved the fact that you can order breakfast (read eggs) at any time of the day; pick from bagel sandwiches, waffles and pancakes and fresh breads. The lunch and dinner menu includes salads, fondues, burgers, wood-fired pizzas and desserts. We picked the Egg Decker (Rs 225) to start with. The truffled scrambled egg, on a bed of creamed spinach and rösti potato, topped with cheddar was something we would love to wake up to every day. The classic Eggs Florentine served on a brioche (Rs 225) was a hit too.

Also, try the Mushroom Ragout with Creamy Polenta and Toasties (Rs 275), which was light and yum. The Mushroom and Brie burger (Rs 345) was enough for two people. The chef perfected the classic comfort food in the restaurant's signature Mac ân' Cheese (Rs 325). And if you like seafood, do not miss out on the Prawn Balchao with home-made pao (Rs 650) which has a rustic aftertaste.
Prawn Balchao
The café will also serve a lobster version of the Balchao. Among the pizzas, we tried Fungi (Rs 495) - a crispy delight featuring mushrooms, garlic, truffle oil and rucola - and Cajun Chicken (Rs 550) that packed in sweet and tangy flavours with caramelised onion and sundried tomatoes. The Pani Puri shots (Rs 125) were drizzled with chocolate syrup and we loved this version. You can safely skip the Jasmine Tea Crème Brulee (Rs 175) which was over sweet.
The Classic Lemon Ice Tea with Cucumber (Rs 195) and the Litchee and Lemongrass Cooler (R195) were refreshing, but our favourite was the Kashmiri Kawa (Rs 150) served in an earthern kettle with cloves, ginger, cardamom and thinly sliced pieces
of almonds.
Head to this café to enjoy good food and soft music in a relaxed ambiance.
