Apart from stories about the history, architecture and culinary secrets of the place and community, participants will also get a glimpse into the lives of owners of these eateries through doodles created at their homes and shops. "A leading paint manufacturer that is sponsoring the walk shared an idea where doodle artistes will create art works based on the lives of the caterers. For instance, the owner of Kalpana Snacks Mart does not want to increase the prices of her fare because it is a favourite hangout for students, and she isn't keen to burden them with high prices. She opens her eatery at 2 pm, unlike all other stores in the area that open at 5 pm. The doodle art at her space depicts this story. At Olly's Corner, the doodle tells the story of the owner's life and how he learnt cooking from his mother.

The entire wall at his house features the painted doodle while at Lydia's, participants can look out for a doodle on plywood that is displayed each time a walk is conducted in the area," shares Patil. The proceeds from ticket sales of the 2.5-hour walk will be donated to Project Nanhi Kali, an NGO for girl child education.
