Starting this month, a ready-to-drink cocktails takeaway service will ensure you play bartender at your next house party

Planning a house party but don't want to miss out on the fun by constantly churning out drinks for the guests? You might want to check out the Bartender In A Bottle service that will be launched by The Daily Bar & Kitchen, within the next fortnight. Designed like a bartender figurine, the bottle features a ready cocktail that you can pick up from the bar as a takeaway. All you need to do is pour it in a glass, add ice and wash it down.

The Contender

"We've observed that people who are 25 and above prefer the comfort of their home over the hustle of a pub or club. I belong to the age bracket and have friends, who also prefer a house party (other than the weekends, of course) over stepping out. At The Daily, we strive to do new things that are both, fun and functional. We take pride in our cocktails and the idea was to provide the guests an option to sip the concoctions in the comfort of their homes," says owner Dishant Pritamani.

Elysium

What's in the bottle?
From classics like Long Island Iced Tea, Margarita, Caipiroska and Mint Julep to signatures like Elysium (whiskey, dates, apple juice), Bombay Nasty (dark rum, cucumber, watermelon, pineapple juice), Cactus Cobbles (tequila, midori, grapefruit juice) and pre-prohibition varieties like South Side (gin, mint, sour mix) and Scofflaw (whiskey, campari, grenadine) - guests can opt for more than 50 cocktails from the Bandra pub's existing menu, as part of the service. "You can pick from any cocktail except for the molecular ones because they require smoke, dry ice etc, which cannot be packaged. Each cocktail, if refrigerated, lasts for 48 hours," adds Pritamani. The cocktails come in a standard 1,000 ml bottle, which could serve up to five glasses (200 ml each with ice).

An interesting element is the bottle itself. "Since it's a takeaway bottle, we've made it look fun enough for the customer to want to use it at home for non-alcoholic purposes as well," he says. Post the launch as a takeaway and depending on the response, the bar plans to start a Bartender In A Bottle delivery service too.
