Amruta Fadnavis married former chief minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis in an arranged marriage on December 5, 2005.
After so many years of marriage, Amruta says deep inside Devendra Fadnavis is a romantic and emotional person. She said, at home he is the boss, while she is the decision-maker.
The two have a daughter named Divija Fadnavis, who studies at Cathedral School in Fort. She is the youngest-ever occupant of the Chief Minister's official bungalow 'Varsha' located in south Mumbai.
Life changed a lot for Amruta and Devendra Fadnavis, who moved to Mumbai after he assumed charge of the Chief Minister's Office in 2014.
In an interview, Devendra Fadnavis admitted that they never went to see a movie after shifting to Mumbai.

In an interview, Amruta Fadnavis had said that Devendra Fadnavis never notices what she wears or how her hairstyle is or whether I have lost or gained weight.
"He is so engrossed loving me that he can not differentiate the changes in me...and therefore, I think he is very romantic person," she had said.

As a social activist, Amruta has worked for women empowerment and development of rural India with the goal of bringing out a social change. Meanwhile, during his tenure, Devendra Fadnavis, too, implemented schemes that helped in the development of Maharashtra.

From celebrating festivals to attending award shows and finding time for family, the two have set major relationship goals.
In an interview when he was asked who attends the parent-teacher meetings at their daughter's school or whether the principal himself came to 'Varsha' — the official residence of the chief minister – Devendra Fadnavis said their high-profile position does not mean they get any relaxation in norms.
Devendra Fadnavis also said the school authorities are very strict in granting leaves and once they "sent him a strong note when he had applied for two-day leave for Divija".

Amruta Devendra Fadnavis was born on April 9, 1979. She is a trained classical singer, a social activist, and a banker. Her maiden name is Amruta Ranade, daughter of Dr Sharad Ranade, an Ophthalmologist and Dr Charulata Ranade, a Gynaecologist. Amruta has a brother named Gaurav Ranade, who is an engineer by profession.
Amruta studied at St Joseph Convent School, Nagpur and graduated from GS College of Commerce and Economics, after which she pursued her MBA in finance and studied taxation laws from Symbiosis Law School, Pune.
Apart from a good academic record, Amruta also loves sports. She was a state-level under 16 tennis player.
Amruta started her career with a leading bank as an executive cashier in 2003 and subsequently headed the business branch in Nagpur.
Amruta said girls must draw inspiration from the late Princess Diana who was a perfect mix of beauty and confidence. "I feel today's girls should take inspiration from Princess Diana. She was a classic example of natural beauty and confidence."
Over the years, Amruta also went throught a weightloss journey. Infact it was Amruta's weightloss journey which was the real inspiration behind her husband Devendra Fadnavis' transformation.
About yoga, Amruta Fadnavis said, "Yoga is accepted by the whole universe. So let us practice yoga daily to make ourselves fit mentally and physically."
Amruta Fadnavis' first music video "Phir Se" featuring Amitabh Bachchan was released by T-Series. Her Mumbai River Anthem to save the four rivers of Mumbai was well received by the people and got huge response.
She has sung for many commercial and movies. She made her debut as a playback singer in Prakash Jha's "Jai Gangaajal" with the song titled "Sab dhan mati". She also sang a song in a biopic "Sangharsh Yatra" based on the Life of Late BJP leader Gopinath Munde

Amruta adopted villages in Nagpur district and also walked the ramp for NIFT to promote some weaving forms and dying art of Maharashtra.

They are listed as the Women's Excellence Awards, The Woman of Substance Award at 'I Am Woman' Awards, Award for Excellence in Women Empowerment by All Ladies League and Divine Vibrations, Woman of the Year in 2015 awarded by Army, Airforce, Navy (AAN foundation) towards – service to Woman's Dignity and Equality in society
