Businesswoman, philanthropist, director and co-owner are a few of the facets of her illustrious yet colourful career so far. Isha Ambani, one of the youngest billionaire heiresses, is the granddaughter of Dhirubhai Ambani and niece of Anil Ambani.
Isha Ambani has a twin brother Akash Ambani. Besides Akash, Isha also has a younger brother, Anant Ambani, and the three are extremely close to each other. The Ambanis are a close-knit family.
After graduating in Psychology and South Asian studies from Yale University, Isha Ambani was inducted into the boards of directors of Jio and Reliance Retail in October 2014. Did you know before joining the family business, Isha Ambani worked as a business analyst with the management consulting firm, McKinsey, Company.
In 2015, the Ambani heiress was named among 12 powerful upcoming businesswomen in Asia. In the same year, Isha Ambani led the employee launch of Jio's 4G services along with her brother Akash Ambani in the presence of the brand's ambassador Shah Rukh Khan.
Isha Ambani was featured on the cover of Femina magazine in 2015 and a year later she launched AJIO, an online fashion retailer at the 2016 edition of Lakme Fashion Week. The same year, re-tail sales of AJIO in India amounted to 15 billion dollars, around two per cent of total retail spending.
After joining the family business, the first major project Isha Ambani oversaw was the launch of Jio in 2016. In an interview, when asked about her success, she said, 'With Jio I saw the potential for an equalising platform that could catapult India into the digital age. Jio entered the market with a pan-India 4G service when other carriers were struggling to offer 3G. People saw that Jio's data services were not only faster but also cheaper and more reliable. By giving people access to high-speed internet, Jio has launched India into the digital age.

Isha Ambani oversees the branding and management segments of AJIO, which is a subsidiary of Reliance Retail. Although she is one of the youngest billionaire heiresses, Isha Ambani has managed to carve a name for herself in the world of business.
Did you know in 2008, Isha Ambani was ranked second on the Forbes' Youngest Billionaire Heiresses list. In 2018, Isha earned an MBA degree from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. She was among the 2,460 students who graduated.
Isha Ambani also shot with Vogue and was featured on the cover of the magazine. As per the magazine, the Ambani heiress is gracious, generous, articulate and level-headed.

In an interview with Vogue, Isha Ambani said, 'All my life, I've seen my family dedicate themselves to growing Reliance and improving quality of life for all Indians. I feel a sense of responsibility towards the company and my country. I truly believe that helping to grow Reliance is my dharma.'

Isha Ambani tied the knot with Anand Piramal on December 12, 2018. The star-studded wedding was attended by personalities cutting across politics, sports and Bollywood. Isha and Anand were friends since childhood and their families share a strong bond that spans for over four decades.
Did you know?, Anand Piramal popped the question to Isha Ambani at a temple in Mahabaleshwar. The couple celebrated the occasion with a lunch, joined by their parents, Mukesh and Nita Ambani and, Ajay and Swati Piramal, besides other family members.
After her wedding, in an interview, Isha Ambani revealed that she and her twin brother Akash Ambani were born via In Vitro Fertilization (IVF). She further said that Nita Ambani was a strict mother and would not allow them to bunk school, ensure that they ate on time, studied hard and also had enough time to play.
In 2019, Isha Ambani turned many heads with her breathtaking look at the Met Gala 2019. Isha, who is well-known for her fashion choices, picked a lavender gown specially designed by Prabal Gurung for the occasion. Recently, Isha Ambani and her brother Akash Ambani featured in Fortune magazine's ''40 under 40'' list of the most influential young leaders for the year under the technology section. The US-based publication said that after Isha and Akash Ambani joined the Jio board, the valuation of the business rose to USD 65 billion.
''As Jio board members, they (Isha and Akash Ambani) helped seal the company's recent megadeal with Facebook--USD 5.7 billion for a 9.99 percent stake--plus major follow-on investments from marquee tech titans like Google, Qualcomm, and Intel,'' Fortune magazine said in an article.
