Asif Bhamla is a politician from Bandra who is currently the General Secretary & Spokesperson of the Nationalist Congress Party, Mumbai unit. Environmentalist, Political Analyst & Debater are few of the facets of his illustrious life. Asif started his political journey in Bandra constituency and went on to head the Nationalist Congress Party's Mumbai Unit.

Asif Bhamla also runs the Bhamla Foundation, a non-governmental organisation which started as a cultural outfit and shifted it's focus on issues related to sociology, humanity, and environment. From Cerebral Palsy, Autism, and Spastics to Orphanages and Homes for the Aged, the organisation helps the poor and needy. Today, the organisation focuses on environmental issues such as plastic pollution, global warming among others.

Asif Bhamla is married to Faiza Bhamla and the couple has two daughters, eldest Saher and the youngest named Sanya.

From cleanliness drive to the installation of school benches and raising awareness on global warming, Asif Bhamla and his foundation have done several charity works.

The Bhamla Foundation regularly organises 'Tree Plantation' drive across the city of Mumbai to raise awareness on global warming and plastic pollution. Sachin Tendulkar, Dia Mirza, Sanjay Dutt, and Aaditya Thackeray are few of the prominent names who have participated in the social initiates taken up by the Bhamla Foundation.

Two of the major causes that the Bhamla Foundation was part of are 'TB Haarega Desh Jeetega' and a campaign called Jaan Bachao against Diabetes & Hypertension. Over the year's, Asif Bhamla's foundation partnered with the MCGM and Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to promote awareness on these two major causes. It was due to Asif Bhamla's commitment and constant efforts that actors such as Amitabh Bachchan and Akshay Kumar came forward in support of such noble causes.

In 2018, on the occasion of World Environment Day, Asif Bhamla in collaboration with Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change brought prominent personalities under one roof and launched a catchy jingle on plastic pollution. Titled 'Tik Tik Plastic' the jingle was an instant hit and widely accepted. It also raised awareness to curb plastic pollution.

In 2018, Asif Bhamla and his foundation, Bhamla Foundation, launched the 'Beat Plastic Pollution' to curb on the plastic menace in the city. The campaign was launched by former President of India, Pranab Mukherjee in New Delhi.

Recently, Asif Bhamla inaugurated the late Vali Mohammed Bhamla chowk, a chowk named after his father which is located in Bandra West. The event was graced by musician Anu Malik, Yuva Sena chief Aaditya Thackeray, BJP Mumbai President Ashish Shelar, Mumbai North Central MP Poonam Mahajan among others.

Asif Bhamla is a doting father. Bhamla shared a post on Instagram about his daughters and captioned it: Daughters are one of the most beautiful gifts this world has to give. A daughter is someone you laugh with, dream with, and love with all your heart.
