Amruta Fadnavis, known for her social work was present at the event to show her support for the Cancer Research in Mumbai. She was seen clicking pictures with the acncer patients and participants of the event.
Terry Fox Run in Mumbai on 3rd February 2019, saw thousands of children participating in the event to collect funds for the Cancer Research in Mumbai.
The race started from the Air India building in South Mumbai and went on to the Marine Drive flyover and ended at Brabourne Stadium. This is the twenty-first year where Mumbai celebrates this race.
The Run for Hope is a non-competitive event where students and individuals from different walks of life come together and raise money in the name of Terry Fox. It marks the celebration of Terry Fox’s legacy.

Terry Fox was a Canadian man who was struck with cancer in his right leg. In 1980, to bring awareness about Cancer to collect money for the research, he ran from the east coast to the west of Canada but died during the run after he managed to collect 30 million CAD. This is how the event, Marathon of hope came into existence.
