Fashion designer Anamika Khanna says she is a "quiet rebel" and does not believe in shouting out from the rooftops to prove a point. The designer is all praises for the millennial generation, which has the courage to own its individuality within diversity.
"I'm a quiet rebel. I don't make the noise when I put my point forward. There's a rebellion every day in our heads and that's what we try to do through fashion. "It's about wearing your fashion in your style. Being who you are. Everyone has there personality. The millennial don't want to follow what their parents did. They want to define their own life, career and even fashion," Khanna told PTI in an interview.

"When we were told collection was about nudes, we also talked about diversity. We have reinterpreted diversity where we have delved into the nude palette with a crazy busy of colour. "We experimented with shapes and textures that we've never done before. This is possibly the most diverse and experimental collection I've done till now."
Anamika said the make-up will play an integral part in the showcase. "I was given the make-up palette before we started working on the collection so that made things much easier. Make-up will be an uplifting force in this collection," she said. The designer said the collection was "edgy", with a balance of sensuality and lightness.
Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor Khan is the showstopper for Anamika. Talking about the influence of the Hindi film industry on fashion, the designer said, "When the forces of fashion and Bollywood team up, they bring out the best in each other. This is a nation of Bollywood. The stars largely define what the nation wears."
The LFW closes on Sunday.
