Famed for his House music, DJ Hamza's first full-length album, Gitano, boasts of eclectic musical influences
DJ Hamza, Delhi-based producer-composer, famed for his House music is out with his 20th release, a full-length album, titled Gitano. It also marks the fifth year of his record label Wind Horse Records. For his album, Hamza has drawn from his travels in South Asia, Europe, and North America. He has lived in Paris, Boston and New York. The album title is derived from the Spanish word for gypsy.

Gitano boasts of ten tracks, with influences from Latin, Celtic, Flamenco, Funk, and Jazz within a House music foundation. The opener Sky Song features Celtic strings that recall the wilderness of the African motherland. Some of the highlights include Blue Groove and Ritmo Del Amor, which have a Latin-laced New York House sound incorporating percussion and bass guitars.

Let The Music Play On, Do It Right, and City Lights have Funk and Jazz elements. City Lights is a dance floor number. The title track has bells, cymbals, and South African melodies. The album was launched online on February 24.
