Located approximately 300 km from Mumbai, the village is one of the lesser-known attractions on the Konkan coastal belt. "The river banks are bound to remind you of Kerala's backwaters," says Bhadouria.

Limited to 15 participants, the trip includes an overnight bus journey to the village, two crocodile safaris conducted in speedboats and a visit to the nearby Guhagar beach. If time permits, you can also visit the Gowalkot fort and Vyadeshwar temple. "Guests will be provided with basic but comfortable accommodation.

Besides, they can enjoy authentic Konkani fare, including refreshing solkadi," shares Bhadouria. A word of caution: Ensure your safety before you get excited to take that selfie with Mr Croc.

Safety matters
The organisers have roped in a local guide, who's familiar with the nature of reptiles, to accompany the guests on the safari. "Also, the boat (in pic) will have a higher railing than the regular one, to ensure guests' safety," says Bhadouria.
