With the season of paragliding coming to an end, don’t miss out on this adventure sport in Kamshet, before the monsoon sets in
paragliding
Keeping the heat in mind, watching TV with friends or family, or just chilling out indoors doing nothing, seems like a much better alternative than roasting oneself out in the open, right? We thought so too, till we came to know about a paragliding opportunity at Kamshet near Lonavala.

Wild Rangers have organised a special paragliding tour this weekend, where they will be taking participants on 15-minute tandem flights over Kamshet, located around 110 kms from Mumbai. Known for its scenic beauty and old-styled houses, Kamshet is one of the most popular places for paragliding in India. Considering that May marks the end of the paragliding season in Kamshet, it's perhaps one of the last opportunities for participants to try their hands at the adventurous sport before the rains set in.
The tour begins from Thane and participants will be taken to the actual spot in a private vehicle. Each participant is required to carry at least 2 litres of water, cap, good-quality trekking shoes, extra pair of socks, prescribed medicines (if any) and digital camera (optional).
A warning though, since paragliding is an adventure sport, readers are requested to understand the risks associated with it, and the various safety precautions taken by the organisers before signing up for the programme.
On: May 24, 8 am onwards

Cost: Rs 4,400
