Exhibits from Kamalan Travel Photography Project
The roastery will host an open event, inviting poets and spoken word artists to share their travel tales, in collaboration with Kamalan Travels, a travel curator from Delhi.
"Art and literature are important parts of travel. The event is our attempt to bring it all together," informs Sayali Goyal, communications manager at Kamalan Travels.
The evening will also witness a photo exhibit curated from the Kamalan Travel Photography Project, launched in 2011.
"It's a programme under which we create and sponsor specific itineraries mainly for photographers and writers based on their interests. The photographs captured on their journeys become a part of our growing photo bank," informs Goyal. The particular exhibit features six photographs clicked in 2011-2012 in South India.
A part of the venue will showcase travel and lifestyle products handcrafted by local artisans in Kamalan's studio. Ranging from Rs 1,000 to Rs 5,000, the products include travel postcards, journals and scarves whose colours symbolise different Indian cities.
