Fahad Mousa Ali
Usually, the norm of the society is that your education paves the path for your career. However, in the case of the UAE-based footballer Fahad Mousa Ali, it's a bit different as it's his job that inspired his further education.
Fahad lost his father at the age of nine, and to make him proud, Fahad decided to achieve high education and fulfil his dreams. He earned a bachelor's degree in business management, but his heart wanted to serve his country in any way possible rather than get stuck with a corporate job. Thus, he decided to represent his nation in the field of sports as a footballer and today he plays for the Al Bataeh Club (popular football club in UAE) and is part of the national team as well.
However, his contribution didn't end there. To serve the country where he is raised, Fahad also joined the Abu Dhabi police force and serves as a police officer there. And for any normal person it might be more than enough, but not for Fahad.
After juggling these two roles simultaneously for a while now, Fahad has added another feather to his cap as he recently received his Master's in Professional law degree. Ask Fahad what prompted his interest to go back to school, even after having two successful jobs, and he shares, "Having lost my father at such a young age, I have always known the importance that good education holds. And I also believe that no matter where you reach in life, you are never too old to learn more."
But why go for a law degree since he is already working in law enforcement? "That is indeed the reason to do it. Having served as a police officer for this long, I have realised the importance of law in each individual's life. We might not notice the importance of it in our everyday life as we take it for granted, but being a police officer, I have seen so many cases where law exploitation has destroyed so many lives. So, I wanted to gather as much knowledge as I can so as to serve my country and its citizens in the best way possible," he concludes.
