The petition lays out a detailed framework as to how a new medical bill law can be created, sponsored, and passed by Congress & the White House. With over 100,000 signatures as of now, the petition also addresses the Medical Debt Relief Bill, which was reintroduced by Congresswoman Katie Porter and Senator Jeff Merkley in earlier 2021. According to Steve," This bill has many good intentions, but in my opinion, it does not go far enough." Considering that medical bills play a major role in people's lives, Steve is hopeful that the Med Freedom petition will get enough signatures to ensure that healthcare becomes affordable.
