Something similar happened with Shweta Nayak Mhetar who started her own endeavor of delivering mouthwatering South Indian batters catering to her love and joy of cooking these delectable dishes.

Hailing from a small coastal town of Karnataka in Kumta, Shweta has seen her mom and grandmother cook dosas and idlis in the most impeccable manner. Surrounded by flavors and spices grinded with stone, she was always fascinated by how such simple batters were transformed into making something so scrumptious. Learning the knacks of cooking from the best she knew, Shwetha started cooking herself and found her own touch with the art.

Thinking to serve more people than just her own friends and family, Shweta brought her idea of a batter store to paper and started her own food brand line with the name, ‘Shwetha's Batter Store'. Incepted in 2019, her business saw a boom mid pandemic when she got an opportunity to serve her customers from the comfort of her home. Being the mother to a toddler, managing home and work together seemed a task initially, but her husband always stood strong by her side, being her pillar of support and her food critic at the same time. Talking about her motivation she says, "My husband always believed in my potential and my daughter loved how my food tasted. All of it was all the boost I needed to bring life to the concept that kept on churning in my brain."

Having started traditionally with a small stone grinder at home, Shwetha's Batter Store has now expanded with an established factory unit to serve the whole nation and spread its wings across the seas. Delicacies that include, Regular idli dosa batter, ragi idli dosa batter, Adai Dosa Batter, Multigrain Dosa Batter, Plain Coconut Chutney, Coconut Garlic Chutney, and much more, are all available on a click of a button not only on her website but also on Amazon, Swiggy and Pingthis.
