Talking to media, Divine Magnitude's national executive chairman, philanthropist & Humanitarian Excellence award-2020 winner Shreyash Kumar informed about the recent internal launching of "Plant trees for saving/restoring the water sources" campaign of Divine Magnitude.
Shreyash said, "Plantation is a noble work in this era where pollution, global warming and water scarcity is a main reason to worry about, prevention of water and plantation of trees is must if we want to continue life for the next generations in Earth". He added that from plantation of trees like Peepal (sacred fig), Bargad (Banyan Fig), Paakad (ficus virens), Neem (Azadirachta indica) and many more species like these helps in recharging the water in ground level; plantation near river prevents sedimentation of water sources by stabilising the banks, prevents pollution where trees form a buffer between agriculture and the water sources, taking up nutrients, providing dappled shading of stream channels which may help marine life survival in hot summers; Plantation of Trees absorb carbon dioxide, which is the main cause of global warming, by storing carbon while releasing oxygen. They clean the air acting as purifiers, absorbing nitrogen oxide, ammonia, sulphur dioxide and ozone and returning oxygen to the atmosphere.
While observing the previous plantations done by organisation across the country, new goal set by Divine Magnitude is 1500 this year as phase-2. It's founder and chairman Ashutosh Pandey with its executive chairman Shreyash Kumar stated that previous plantation success rate achieved was 85% with proper securities for plants including barricading, soil check, watering etc. Moving forward the organisation's heads cleared about their initiative"green revolution campaign - trees for the future" and urged people to plant more trees and take proper care of that as their own child with their motto "being the change we need to see".
