RAW NTR (RAW Helping Hands)
When the entire country is grappling with the Coronavirus, it is the marginalized and vulnerable communities that have been hit the hardest. At such a time, civil societies' role becomes particularly important. Many civil societies, NGOs, social organizations have stepped in to help the poor and the vulnerable survive the pandemic. RAW NTR (NTR Helping Hands) is one such NGO based out of Telangana that is aiding the poor population in the hinterland sustain itself during COVID 19.
RAW NTR (RAW Helping Hands) officially registered on November 23, 2020. The organization has been functioning since January 2021. They started the 365 Days Food Donation Program across Telugu states (Andhra Pradesh & Telangana) and also few areas in Karnataka and Tamilnadu.
Under this program, the RAW NTR volunteers and team members will deliver breakfast/meals/groceries/fruits to orphanages, homeless people, old age homes, shelters, and blind schools, and other places that house the vulnerable population across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
The team is ready for the challenge, and they have already created a WhatsApp group to coordinate the same. When you are undertaking such a mammoth task of huge responsibility, it is always prudent to stay connected to your team. The WhatsApp group was formed with this aim in mind. The program has already started on the 13th of June, 2021.

If any good samaritan is interested in being a part of this noble initiative, they can register on the website and fill out a form with all the necessary details. The form is available under the âBecome a volunteer' section of the website. The registration is free for everyone.
When you fill in the form, you will be asked in what capacity you can volunteer. Some people volunteer by giving monetary aid or aid in kind. Some volunteer by giving blood. Some by handling the groundwork for the NGO. Your data will be collected by the RAW NTR backend team and whenever a need arises, they will get in touch with you.
Your responses are collected and after some time you will be encouraged to donate food in your area. Someone from the RAW NTR team, responsible for managing your area, will reach out to you, and you will get an opportunity to be an important part of the â365 Days Food Donation Program'.
Their website has been live since 1st July 2021. It can be accessed here (https://rawntr.com/). Their aim is to reach as many people as possible and help as many needy people as they can. The website says " The Words That Can Inspire Millions & We Are One Of Those", and true to this description, they are inspiring thousands of people across the country to look beyond their own selfish needs and help others who have been reduced to the margins in this pandemic. They have more than 100 WhatsApp groups running, wherein you can access things as per your requirement- if you want to donate blood or want a blood donor, or you want to make a contribution or donate food.
The organization, named after NT Rama Rao, wants to carry forward its humanitarian legacy. He was a great actor, a great politician, and above all a great human being. It was his dream to uplift the most marginalized sections of society, and this NGO is a tribute to his dream.
