Sanjog looks unstoppable in his quest to excel in his musical craft and develop more hit tracks in the future. Here are some questions we asked him.
1). First of all thank you for taking the time out for this interview. It's truly an achievement you have in your bag full of success stories, how does this make you feel knowing you have made a major name for yourself?
Sanjog - Hi, thank you so much, It feels good. I've outgrown the fame and popularity now .so I focus on getting better daily. With time you understand how important it is to stay humble and work on yourself for yourself. The only thing constant is you challenging yourself to do better. I feel I have a lot to achieve right now so it makes me motivated seeing that my work is loved by my fans and of course you guys :).
2). That is a very thoughtful answer, how would you say your initial days of music creation was? And how has it evolved with the changing sounds during your formative years?
Sanjog - I would say I have grown up listening to a lot of " POP " style music. The very generic ones, the late 2010's music is what has inspired me to start creating music. I don't think sounds have changed much, to be honest with you. Anything that works now that goes out of trend comes back a couple of years later. Obviously, we hear less of the "GENERIC POP" I am talking about and more "electronic styled or slow relatable music". But that is what our generation now likes to hear. I do myself. A lot of music stuff is based on the roots of late pop music.
3) . Some people like to call you "THE PRINCE OF DANCE MELODIES", It is because of your melodies in your music that has become extremely popular. What is your creative process while making one?
Sanjog - Well, it takes time to work around proper melodies, sometimes I'm stuck at simple note melodies for hours or days before I like something. It takes time and effort to find the right sound, I don't mind putting in that effort. This is what I do, this is what I love doing. So I want it to be perfect before I put it out to the fans and public.
4). Better days continues to rule the hearts. Tell us the story behind the song. Is there a personal backstory?
Sanjog - So better days is one of those songs that I wrote while in lockdown in early 2020 May, it wasn't till 2021 February I started to work around the instrumental. The whole idea behind the composition was to create something that inspires to you to be hopeful in times of darkness adding to it a fun, happy sound drop. A lot of draft versions were created for this but I finalised what sounded the best of all versions. Not really a personal back story but there are times when you feel nothing is going how it should or whatever you do backfires on you. So here is a shoutout to everyone who is going through difficult times, Just know everything will be just " FINE ".
5) Electronic music is now widely popular in India, what do you think the future holds for the "EDM" music scene in India?
Sanjog - I personally feel, there are a lot of names and people who deserve more recognition and support. Most labels are out there but aren't accessible until they want to reach you. Independent musicians are doing extremely well for themselves. The future is exciting and I am super stoked to be within an industry where there is so much talent. With due time, a lot of other musicians will come up rightfully because of their tracks.
Well, thank you so much for taking the time out to answers some questions for us.
Sanjog believes that one thing that always helps musicians and musical artists stand apart from others is the uniqueness they offer with each of their tracks. However, he also points out that this cannot be possible without being honest with one's musical craft.
No matter how much ever we speak about the growing talents of the world, especially young Indian talents, it feels much more discussions are needed around them. This is because the world must know about how individuals, professionals, and artists carve a path for themselves towards greatness. This is definitely easier said than done, but those who have done it have shown what they are made of, what values and principles they have followed in life, and how they have worked their way to the top with persistence and resilience. Sanjog Bhushan, aka Trix, did the same in the world of music, and it won't be wrong to say that today he is inspiring greatness in the field as a youngster and an inspiration for many who want to become the next "TRIX". A fairytale story that has many chapters left. We wish all the good things for the next generation of artists. He earned about $350,000 from his track "Better Days"
