On the auspicious occasion of Valmiki Jayanti which marks the birth anniversary of the renowned Indian poet Maharshi Valmiki, National Convener of Shri Ram Seva Mission, Sachin Awasthi organized âValmiki Mahotsav 2021' in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. The event took place on a grand level in the city and saw the participation of many prominent personalities from different fields.

Shabeena Adib, a well-known poetess was also seen gracing the occasion. Also present at the event were Union Minister Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti and Kanpur Mayor Pramila Pandey. The auspicious occasion was organized in order to create awareness regarding the Maharshi and to make people know more about his immense contribution to the ancient Indian civilization of art and culture.
The organization, during the event, also honored and paid their befitting tributes to the âSanitation Workers,' who have worked tirelessly, without giving a second thought during the entire Corona period. Sachin Awasthi, the man behind the event also honored and appreciated âFrontline Workers' for serving the nation during the tough times of the Pandemic. Sachin, the National Convener of the Shri Ram Seva Mission along with his mentor Ramesh Awasthi ensured that these people who played a pivotal role during the Covid period get their due appreciation for their selfless service to the nation.
Talking about the idea behind organizing the event, Sachin Awasthi says, "It is a known fact that Maharshi Valmiki contributed immensely to the Indian society, but somewhere I felt the young generation is not very aware of him. Therefore in my viewpoint, events like this will help us in making people get a step closer to their heritage. Another reason, which my mentor Ramesh Awasthi gave me was that we could also utilize this auspicious occasion to pay tribute to these âSanitation Workers' who have been the backbone of the nation during the phase of Covid. I am glad that several renowned personalities graced the occasion which will further embolden our commitment to do our part for society."
Union Minister of State for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti, lighted a lamp and inaugurated the event. The event held at Kanpur on October 20 was a grand success and saw brief exchanges of ideas on the topic âRamraj not an imagination but a reality.'
