KRIVI COUTURE
The earth not only feed us but even clothes us. The price it pays for providing the human race is the imbalance of the environment manifested in the ailments of humans and extinction of other species. The fashion industry generates an enormous quantity of waste due to the lapse of trends in clothing; fashion being volatile and subject to change with any designer creating an impact. This renders the old clothes manufactured, REDUNDANT and the fate of disposal depends upon the country norms and environmental laws.
An Indian origin Australian Fashion Designer, Anjana Seth decided to change this through KRIVI COUTURE. Specialized in creating costumes for girls below 10 years, Krivi's fashion stays on the wardrobes for a longer period of time. Krivi couture intends to create a culture of minimalism rather than just producing mass clothing only to be thrown out because fashion makes them redundant.
Anjana has presented her designs at the Lakme Fashion week and is well known amongst the fashion fraternity. Launching Krivi Couture is her passion to refurbish the environment and give back as a human being.
Being in a children segment Krivi is extra cautious while picking up raw materials to children's skin and help them carry the dress comfortably for longer hours. One more practice Anjana feels that need change is the exploitation of labor in fashion industry. Cheaper brands do provide a lower price point but at the cost of the happiness of their labour. This sense of equality sets Krivi Couture apart.
Krivi helps it's customers in alterations of the garment and also buys back your piece of garment, refurbish it and donate it to the needy. A part of Krivi's profits go to Barbarika foundation to help the underprivileged children.
"Buy it, only if you need it", says Anjana. "I believe in Ethical Fashion. Hoarding clothes only to dispatch them to the land fills just because it's out of fashion is not the way it should be!", adds Anjana further.
