as an author with the launch of 'Samundar Samne Hai', a compilation of his reverberating Urdu poems
and ghazals earlier this year is soon coming up with his next production venture, The Last Resort under the banner of Entertainment Box in partnership with Suraj Mishra.

This suspense thriller is directed by Saugat Bhattacharya. Brijendra Kala, Reecha Sinha and Vaishnavi Macdonald are named in the main cast.

Without divulging too many deatils Izhar tells mid-day, "It is a thriller. It's a new concept which hasn't been seen in Bollywood yet. We are planning to release the film soon on the OTT platform Biiggbang and it is an edge- of-the-seat film where people will be curious to know what is going to happen next." With theaters opening up, Izhar is confident that people will come and watch the films on the big screen, "I don't think there can be any substitute for theaters. The joy and atmosphere of watching on the big screen is a different experience. OTT is a good platform and it will go hand in hand with theaters. From the commercial point of view, OTT cannot replace theaters."

A packaging industry baron, Izhar, who has been in Dubai for more than two decades was recently awarded at the mid-day Iconic Global Awards. Talking about it he says, "I am really honoured to be getting this award. mid-day has been encouraging a lot of talent and it always feels good to be recognised. It also motivates us to keep doing our job with honesty and sincerity."
