Ashok Gehlot
Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has been voicing his concerns over how the media has been manipulated and kept under 'clutches' by the union government stressing that an impartial media is the need of the hour to save democracy. Interestingly, addressing a gathering at Lakhasar in Bikaner, Chief Minister, who rarely takes names of people or institutions, commended First India News for carrying out government's people centric policies to the grassroot level and giving them ample coverage.
Stressing that First India covers Chief Minister in a better way than other regional channels, Gehlot said, "While local channels carry my news to some degree, First India News covers news related to me (as Chief Minister) without fail. The would show me more (out of other channels)."

Chandra, CMD, fondly recollects," The channel was a mere five-year-old child when I took over and was completely non-existent in the segment. The challenge was to make it stand out among other competitive state and national channels. Presently, we are running the No.1 News channel of Rajasthan (regional news channel -Tata Sky 1182, Airtel 361) and one daily English Newspaper in the name and style of 'First India' from Jaipur, which has four editions, namely, New Delhi, Jaipur, Lucknow, and Ahmedabad."
