The electric vehicle (EV) revolution is growing by the day, but it can only go to a certain level without the necessary infrastructure and technology. Nonetheless, this is the future and the world will eventually adapt to all-electric mobility in the near future. "From ultra-fast wireless charging stations to repurposing car batteries, efforts are being made to deliver advances in electrification knowledge and technologies, which will definitely boost the leap of an electric automotive future," says Mohsin Hani Al Bahrani.
According to the industry veteran, current technology offers large EV batteries which take long to charge. Above that the weight is also on the higher side resulting in the vehicle consuming more energy. Once these are optimized the demand would go up sprucing the sales of EV's. "One of the major reasons why people don't go in for electric cars is because it's too expensive and there is widespread skepticism around the battery range. Also, there is a need to plan an efficient battery charging infrastructure," explains Al-Bahrani, which is one of the major reasons his company MHD ACERE has come up with robust steps to revolutionize the electric mobility situation in Oman.
MHD has recently ventured into the renewable energy industry and are aiming to be pioneers in providing the best solutions within the Sultanate. "With the growth rate of electric vehicles in the country, the demand for electric charging stations has been on the rise. We are spreading our wings in this sector by installing high-power electric vehicle chargers across Oman. We have tied up with ABB to provide Terra HP chargers which can be upgraded to deliver 350 kw if needed. This new technology allows electric vehicles to travel around 200 KMS for a charging time as low as eight minutes," informs Al-Bahrani.
After having taken over the reins of MHD ACERE as a CEO, Mohsin Hani Al Bahrani has been consistently leading the company to newer heights with his innovative future perfect vision which is definitely moving ahead with fast pace.
