The incident of Sakinaka rape is mind numbing. Frequent incidents of rape have created insecurity among women. The Mumbai Police Commissioner has even ordered the establishment of Nirbhaya Pathaka in every police station. In this connection, Prominent Labour Leader Abhijeet Rane, Founder General Secretary of Dhadak Auto Rickshaw Taxi Chalak Malak Union in collaboration with Aarey Police Station had organized a special orientation camp at Aarey Police Station for the rickshaw drivers who have accepted the leadership of Dhadak Auto Rickshaw Drivers' Union. The camp was guided by Abhijeet Rane along with Sr. Inspector of Police Aarey Police Station Jyoti Desai Madam and Inspector of Police Valmik Patil and Inspector of Police Gautam Bade.
After the atrocities and murder of a 30-year-old woman in Sakinaka, the issue of women's safety has once again come to the fore in Mumbai. The repercussions of the Sakinaka incident have been felt across the state. Mumbai Police Commissioner Hemant Nagrale has ordered to appoint Nirbhaya Pathak in every police station for the safety of women. The safety of women is the responsibility of every citizen. During the meeting, appropriate guidance and instructions were given to all regarding women's safety. If an improper type of thing is happening to a woman in the area where the rickshaw driver drives the rickshaw,
Information in that regard should be reported to the local police, if a person is found behaving suspiciously, become a Zero Police and cooperate by informing the police. "Our entire protection will be for the rickshaw drivers," said Jyoti Desai, senior police inspector, Aarey police station. The guidance program was organized near Aarey police station Chhota Kashmir, Goregaon (East), Mumbai.
During the meeting members of Dhadak Auto Rickshaw Taxi Chalak Malak Union were present in large numbers.
