Aniruddh, A Rising New Star On Bollywood Block..!

Today's Bollywood landscape is different. And Corona effect has made it so! With so many web series being made and they along with movies,many super talented actors who would have gone otherwise unnoticed are coming to the fore & garnering huge viewers without film biggies' background. Their talent, nothing but talent has made them popular among massive audience.

Well, it seems riding on this changing scenario the ultra talented Aniruddh Roy with an IT professional background has been roped in by Alt Balaji to play a pivotal role in their upcoming webseries venture Crime and Confessions with four different stories set in different time spans being directed by Sachin Kamlakar Khot. And Aniruddh may be a surprise packet in the movie.

So, how has been Aniruddh's journey in Bollywood?

"It has just started, taking baby steps. Being a theatre actor and IT professional in Bangalore, I shifted to Mumbai and the city has been really kind to me, as I started my journey during lockdown, did few critical acclaimed short films for few OTT players, commercials, web series with Flipkart videos (Sikhya entertainment), episode TV series with And TV and now a beautiful webseries with Alt Balaji..," said Aniruddh gratefully adding, "I made very good friends and also mentors (I have grown up watching their films and shows), truly grateful and thankful who have supported me so far.

How did Aniruddh get such a powerful role in Crime and Confessions in the upcoming webseries?

"I believe in destiny and got locked for my role 2 days prior to my webseries shoots.

I had auditioned for the role when I was shooting for a film in Bangalore and it was a dream to work with Sachin Sir and Mona ma'am. They took care of every actor so well! Everything was meticulously planned and aesthetically shot. We wrapped up on-schedule," told Aniruddh.

"It was also a dream to work with Alt Balaji toand I'm extremely grateful to Baljit Singh Chaddha Sir.

What was Aniruddh's first reaction when he got the offer from a very well-known production house Alt Balaji?

"Well, I didn't believe initially, as I used to audition for webseries and feature films for major OTT platforms.

When I got locked for Alt Balaji..I took a moment to actually gauge if I heard the news correctly," said Aniruddh with a smile.

When asked about his role, Aniruddh said that it's a pivotal role but he was unable to disclose further. "You would have to watch it," replied the handsome and dashing actor.

Among his future projects, Aniruddh said that discussions are on for Amazon Prime webseries, one multilingual feature film with Aha OTT platform et al.

So, how does Aniruddh see himself in Bollywood where competition among newcomers is very tough?

"It's very important to identify your strength and weakness and position yourself accordingly, it is important to think little different and uniquely and keep working on your craft and believe in your talent," said Aniruddh as a matter of fact.

Aniruddh's Bollywood idol? "Irrfan Sir, Manoj Bajpayee Sir and Nawaz Sir," pat comes the reply.

Among his hobbies, Aniruddh lists playing tabla, singing and travelling voraciously.
