Apple generally launches its new iPhone models Fridays, and Sep 19 falls on a Friday this year.
Apple made the iPhone 5 available Sep 21, 2012.
The new handset is believed to have a larger 4.7 inch screen, with a second version boasting a 5.5-inch screen.
