Now, here's another option: Kolhapuris with a contemporary twist by accessory designer Aprajita Toor. I loved the ankle-strap version made using several bright colours, without going over the top.

Toor has also designed wedge-heeled Kolhapuris with multi-coloured pompoms, mirrors and ghungroos (another pick) embellished on them. Toor's designs were seen on the ramp at the recent fashion week in the city with designer Debarun's collection. Also worth a buy are her ghungroo bangles.
