Women activists, who have been working with various issues women have to deal with, especially in the Muslim community can now get a little help and a better understanding, through a three-day training workshop that has been organised by the NGO Aawaaz-e-Niswaan.

Aawaaz-e-Niswaan is a feminist group that has been working with women's issues since 2001. The NGO has helped many women deal with a multitude of issues, whether it is violence against them or religious intolerance. This training workshop will witness activists from different parts of the country talk about issues faced by women and the approach to deal with it. The workshop will also throw light on issues including fundamentalism, communalism, lack of autonomy and religious impositions. It will look at the political, economic and personal implications of activism for the rights of Muslim women.
